Stand Behind the Music is an anthem sized song packed with enough punch to knock out the biggest musical heavyweight. What I like about Stand Behind the Music is conviction and hunger that I feel when Anjulie is singing/spitting. The narrative in the song tells the story of so many artist trying to make it in a very political music industry filled with nothing but droids that follow the pre-programed agenda of their label with zero input. While there are artist who have IT but are being shuffled around from label to label because they don't fit the mold dreamed up by the executives. What makes this video such a winner is the triumphant undertones found under all the revolution going on in the visual.
Let's face it Anjulie is FLY and that's just a fact we'll have to deal with for life. I hope to hear a lot more from this daring songwriter.
